60 Seconds With ... Carolyn Harley

What venue has been your favourite on the tour so far this year?
Frankfurt Opera House was very interesting especially when you know some of the history behind it - one of my favourite pieces of music 'Carmina Burana' was premiered there.  The catering company who toured with us previously in Germany were also there for that gig so it was food heaven too.

What tracks do you most look forward to performing?
I never tire of Time and Another Brick in the Wall, but I also really like our version of Pigs.  We've recently included Not Now John in the set and that's a great one for backing vocals - interesting lyrics!

Beside Pink Floyd, what's on your iPod at the moment?
I have a very eclectic taste in music - my ipod top 25 most played playlist includes tracks by Rammstein, The Ting Tings, M.I.A plus a German duo called Monocular who are brilliant - check them out

Any disastrous moments on tour this year?
Traveling around Japan as a fussy vegetarian isn't exactly a disaster but it was very challenging!!

One item you can't live without on tour?
My ipod - it accompanies me everywhere!

Which countries are you looking forward to playing in the future with TSOPFS?
I'm fascinated by Russia so always enjoy going there - I even found the16-hour train journey from Orenburg to Chelyabinsk a great experience despite the smelly toilets, flies and horrible food.  I hope we return to Japan soon - it was a fascinating place though I will be taking plenty of Go Noodles and cereal bars with me next time.  I love travel full stop - so I look forward to visiting any places we haven't been to yet!
